I am back on the path to health and fitness
In the fall of 2009 I got very serious about my fitness and health. I took on a 30 day Crossfit-Paleo challenge. I lost a lot of weight and got into great shape. Then I got hurt- over and over I had minor nagging injuries- pulled muscles, back pains, etc. I gradually quit working out so intensely and my diet and exercise program slid. I kept making efforts to get back on track.
Then, in April 2011, our house was destroyed in a storm. We had to live in motels and rentals for a year. That meant I was disconnected from my home gym and most of my bicycles were in storage. Over the year of moving and rebuilding I ate more poorly and exercised less. I gained weight. Yuck!
As of today it is over- I am back on the path to health and fitness. I have decided to make it public because that helps me attain my goals. I will be somewhat rigid regarding diet and exercise for the next few weeks and I’ll post my experiences here. Today is May 12th. I will report in at least weekly. I am committed to this program at least until Father’s Day, June 17th, 2012.
